quad morvan

For my stag do, my mates came up with the brilliant  idea of a sporting weekend, a quad bike ride followed by a  paint-ball game, telling me that this would make a proper
man out of me!   The gentle morning ride that swiftly turned into an exhausting trek left me a bit the worse for wear, so I was ready for an after-lunch siesta. But it was now time for the paint-ball game and my friends seemed to take a sadistic pleasure in making me run!!
Many thanks to the team at Challenge 58 who organized everything within our budget: transport, accommodation and catering.

The first time I went out on a quad bike trek I was petrified, riding my bike right behind our guide with the rest of the group following us. However, very swiftly I became more at ease and started gaining speed and confidence in myself. I followed our guide’s instructions to the letter and imitated his every move. I ended up enjoying the breathtaking views over the Morvan, getting covered in mud, then having the mud washed away with a downpour of rain.
When I got home I was ready to drop, but full of mad stories to tell my friends.

We were a group of 12, and amazingly we were all still there at the end of a 2-day quad bike trek in the heart of the Morvan. We survived on mud and adrenaline! We were managed by a team of true professionals, both in terms of organization and equipment.
Many thanks and see you again soon!

A quad bike trek through the forests of the Morvan in the middle of winter wasn’t actually the most appealing idea. But I didn’t want to cop out, so I went for it and didn’t regret it.
We covered a wide range of terrain, which put my riding abilities to the test. Deep ruts full of water, stony paths and slippery undergrowth to name just a few!!! I had real fun and, thanks to the protective clothing that Challenge 58 lent us, I remained warm and dry despite the
cold and rain. On our return, we were welcomed with a hot chocolate, which was blissful. A big thank you to David, our experienced guide, and to the rest of the team at Challenge 58 for an unforgettable afternoon!

I had done some quad bike trekking in the Morvan before, but had never had such good equipment. The quad bikes were brand new and really easy to ride. David, our guide, was a great guy and knew the area like the back of his hand. We rode off in the rain and came back covered with mud from head to toe, but we had so much fun that we shall definitely come back!
